10 CE CREDIT HOURSYou will need 10 CE credit hours to maintain any research administration certification including RCC, RAA, AGM, FCC, and RAI. CE CATEGORIESCredits are grouped into categories. These categories have either minimum CE hour requirements or maximum CE hours which can be used to contribute to the 10 CE hour requirement. Review the Continuing Education website for details and a tracking sheet to assist with calculating CE requirements and monitoring progress. TRACKING TOOLSUse the RCC Training Tracker accessible via myRESEARCHhome to view your CE hours for 2021. As a reminder, the certification year is September 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021. Be sure that all CE Category requirements are met; having 10 hours does not necessarily equate to completion. TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO EARN CETake action now if you do not have 10 CE hours in the appropriate CE categories. Schedule CE hours for the remainder of the 2021 certification year to ensure you are able to complete your requirements. Failure to proactively schedule or register for CE hours may result in offerings not being available. Failure to complete the CE requirements will be shared with supervisors and management center leadership. RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION TOWN HALLSThese Town Halls are a great way to stay informed on key updates, changes, and training for research administrators across of Duke and to get CE hours. The next town hall is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Register for the session here. All research administrators are encouraged to attend and credit counts toward the 2.5 minimum credits for the Duke Research Administration Training Opportunities category. MSPAI REQUIREMENTManagement of Select Post Award Issues (MSPAI) will not be offered this spring. This means that completing MSPAI will not be required in addition to the 10 CE hours for the 2021 certification year. This decision was made in partnership with Research Costing Compliance. Plans are underway to include a mandatory compliance update in the fall as part of the annual Research Administration Symposium scheduled for November 16. |
